Company is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. As ticket sales
cover only 40% of annual expenses, we rely on generous contributions
by individuals, foundations, corporations and government funders for
over half of our income.

Wilde Affair
On May 14th, there was something particularly exciting in the air
at 80 St. Marks Place as friends and fans of The Pearl Theatre Company
gathered for High Tea, champagne toasts and side-splitting laughter
at a special performance of The Importance of Being Earnest. We would
like to thank everyone who attended and gave their support for our Wilde

Italian Cultural Institute
on Monday January 15, 2008, The Italian Cultural Institute hosted an
evening celebrating the production of The Mandrake. Speakers
included the translator Peter Constantine, the director Jim Calder,
and The Pearl's Artistic Director, Shepard Sobel, and Dramaturge, Kate
